NAABT, Inc. - Patient/Doctor Connection Terms of Use

Terms:

These terms are in addition to the terms listed for our entire site.

This site is for US residents 18 years old or older.

NAABT,Inc. acts only as an optional and additional tool to help connect individuals in need of buprenorphine treatment to buprenorphine treatment providers. DO NOT rely on it for your only path to healthcare. If you need immediate attention go to an emergency room, call 911, or seek immediate healthcare from a qualified healthcare provider.

NAABT, Inc. serves to assist people in finding Buprenorphine treatment providers only, like that of a search engine, telephone book, or map. It is entirely your responsibility to determine if the physician is appropriately credentialed and not misrepresenting him/her self in any way. NAABT does not endorse nor is responsible for any action of the physicians or patients who use our service. The service is free and voluntary, and comes with no warranty or guarantee, or cost for using the service.

Inclusion of a member physician is not and does not imply any NAABT referral, endorsement or recommendation, nor does the omission of any individual indicate any NAABT disapproval.

Treatment Match Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We will never ask for your name, address, phone number social security number, or other identifying information so that you can submit a truly anonymous application. We do not collect any information from you other than what you provide to us voluntarily. We do however ask that you voluntarily submit an email address so that doctors can respond to you and the matching system can work. We suggest that you use an email address that does not contain your name or identifies you in any way. As soon as we receive your application, the email address you submitted via our secure encrypted website is converted to an ID number and then disassociated from your application. When we send your submission to doctors for review, all that is sent is the ID number, and doctors respond to you through our site, so no one ever has access to your email address or any identifying information. The only time you will need to surrender your anonymity is when you call the doctor privately on the phone and make an appointment, at which time your privacy is further protected, under law, by the doctor’s office.

HIPAA: Although not required of us by law, we meet or exceed HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191) standards of privacy in how we store and process the information you voluntarily provide to us. Your connection with www.TreatmentMatch.org is encrypted with 128bit encryption. The connection is encrypted using RC4_128 with MD5 for message authentication and RSA as the key exchange mechanism. See more about your health information privacy rights at: http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/understanding/consumers/consumer_rights.pdf

You have the option to be removed from the TreatmentMatch program at any time, and can do so by logging in and checking the “I no longer wish to be on the matching system/contacted by a physician” checkbox.
